Legacy Stables & Events is situated on the Weisner Family’s 30-acre equestrian estate in Winston-Salem. Owner Robert Weisner purchased the property as a place for his granddaughters to pursue their passion for riding and competing with show horses. It has evolved to become one of the most unique venues in the Triad filled with warmth, elegance and southern charm.
History of the Farm
From 2014-2020, the property was home to Legacy Saddlebreds, a state-of-the-art horseback riding academy and training facility. Throughout that time, Legacy Saddlebreds grew to be one of the largest riding complexes in the Southeast, introducing thousands of people to horses, in particular, the American Saddlebred. Nationally recognized instructors and trainers shared their passion for riding to students young and old, from recreational riders to competitors, proudly producing multiple National Champions, World Cup Gold Medalists and World Champions. The beautiful property with its gorgeous stables and detailed landscaping soon drew the attention of many. Engaged couples, photographers and event professionals began to inquire about using the property for weddings and other special events. In 2018, Legacy Stables & Events began offering weddings and other special events and began the transformation of one of their facilities into the exquisite event venue it is today.
